Etsy API ist nun offen fuer alle

Und ich dachte schon, ich haette getraeumt, als ich die Schlagzeile gestern Nacht im Reader sah. Aber nein: Etsy hat nun, nach einer geschlossenen beta, die (eine) API veroeffentlicht.

"The Etsy Developer Community, located at developer.etsy.com, includes everything developers need to integrate the Etsy API into their applications. The Etsy API will allow developers access to the code for actions one can do on the Etsy website, such as searching product listings and viewing members' favorite ("hearted") items. If you are a developer, joining the Etsy Developer Community will be free and getting started is easy. We provide both a complete set of reference documents and tools for developers to test their API calls."

Der Etsy-Blogpost stellt gleich noch ein paar erste Projekte vor, die Entwickler gebaut haben. Craftcult und Etsyhacks duerfte handmade2.0-Lesern bereits aus einem aelteren Post bekannt sein. Ganz neu entwickelt sind MakerSpot und SoopSee, die ebenfalls sehr nuetzlich und interessant sind.

Wir sind gespannt, was es demnaechst geben wird - und werden weiter beobachten. In the meantime, viel Spass mit der API - die Kommentare sind offen fuer Hinweise und Links auf Projekte, die die API verwenden!!
