Die Designklau-Mafia sitzt nicht nur in Holland

Nachdem ich über den dreisten Holland-Stoff-Klau bei Enna geschrieben hatte, meldete sich noch Anja von Mymaki, die erzählte, dass Ennas Matrioschkadesign offensichtlich auch noch von den Setdesignern des ECHO 2010 geklaut worden ist:

Und Paperama, erzählte Anja, hatte gesehen, dass Mymakis Webbanddesigns auch in Holland geklaut und in Amsterdam in billiger Kopie verkauft werden.

Ich möchte gerne wissen, wer die Hersteller in Holland (China) sind. Sachdienliche Hinweise nehme ich gerne auch "anonym" per Kontaktformular entgegen, kein Problem.

Ausserdem überlege ich mir, sämtliche Termine für den Stoffmarkt Holland wieder aus dem handmade.Kalender zu nehmen und diesen auch nicht weiter zu bewerben. Denn wenn auch dort Raubkopien verkauft werden (bei immerhin 140 holländischen Ständen), will ich das nicht weiter unterstützen. Dann schicke ich Euch lieber regelmässig in die Shops der Urheber der tollen Designs und in die Shops, die authorisierte Originalprodukte verkaufen, damit Euer Geld auch da ankommt, wo es hingehört.

After I wrote about how brazenly Hannover designer Enna got ripped off by the Dutch fabric industry, Anja of Mymaki wrote in to tell me how the set designers of the  ECHO 2010 have apparently ripped Enna's design, too. See the video and the still embedded above in the German version of this post!

[Disclaimer: I am currently researching whether the persons in charge at the ECHO, the set designer in charge respectively, were authorized to use Enna's graphic design.]

In addition to that, Anja told me that her own ribbon design has been stolen by Dutch manufacturers and is for sale in horribly cheap pirate copies in Holland; Paperama took photos of this ripoff when she walked through Amsterdam.

You can help! I want to know the names of the Dutch (Chinese) manufacturers of these ribbons and fabrics. Please use the contact form to send any relevant information you may have (you can use the form anonymously, if you wish).

Apart from this, though, I am considering the permanent deletion of all dates for the Stoffmarkt Holland from the handmade.Kalender and to stop recommending this market to my readers here and out there in social net-world. The odds that pirated designs are on sale there are comparatively high, given the roughly 140 booths of Dutch vendors of fabrics, ribbons and other notions. I simply refuse to support this any longer, and I'd rather post yet more shopping tips for indie designers and creators of original artwork as well as those authorized retailers who sell orignal products. 'Cause you know... that's where your money belongs.
